Seesmic and the Thin Air Summit
November 5, 2008
New Media has a lot of definitions but part of what defines new media is how it enables interactions between the “producers” and the “consumers” and in that interaction it creates a conversation and ideally a community.
One company that strongly supports enabling the conversation is Seesmic - their tagline is “Join the video conversation.” I am very excited to announce that we will be working with Seesmic to extend the conversations of the conference beyond the physical walls of the Thin Air Summit.
We have created an account on Seesmic, thinairsummit, and we will be posting interviews and comments on this account and we encourage you to join in the conversation, whether you are at the Summit or joining us via Seesmic.
If you haven’t had a chance to try out Seesmic yet head on over to: http://www.seesmic.com and sign up.
Thin Air Summit Location - Sheraton Denver
November 3, 2008
As we enter the week before the Thin Air Summit it is a very exciting time. All the planning is finally coming together and we will get to experience the event that we have all been working towards.
Over the next few days we’ll be blogging about the details of the event, the social gatherings, and additional activities that will be going on.
To start off this week we will be talking about the location.
The Thin Air Summit is being held at the Sheraton Denver. The Sheraton Denver is located in the heart of downtown Denver near the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall. Complimentary shuttle service extends the full length of the mall to downtown’s shopping, dining and entertainment venues. Sheraton Denver hotel is adjacent to the Pavillions shopping and entertainment complex, featuring movie theaters, upscale shopping, restaurants, and an array of activities and events. If you haven’t been to Denver the Sheraton is a great place to start from to explore the city.
We are pleased that the event will be held at the Sheraton Denver as the space they have is ideal for an event of our type. All of the rooms share a common hall and provide an excellent space for people to connect and socialize in between the sessions.
With that we look forward to seeing you at the Thin Air Summit at the Sheraton Denver.
